SWEP’s Systems’ team, along with our local sales contacts in North America, have been working on two large energy transfer stations (ETS’s) for Brock University in St. Catharaines, Ontario (Canada). This project aims to help the campus gain better control of the heating and cooling network feeding into their largest building in order to enable more efficient operations.
Two ETS’s are needed to help achieve this goal: one for heating and one for cooling. Thanks to the good relationship between our North American sales team and Can-Ecosse Engineering (Ontario, Canada), and the expertise of our Systems’ team, we succeeded in getting one of our heating ETS’s specified here, and we have recently (April 2017) received the order for this station.
The cooling station portion of the project will go out for bid in winter, but SWEP’s chances of winning this part too are greatly increased since we are supplying the heating ETS. This is a very exciting endeavor and we hope it’s also the beginning of a long-term working relationship between Brock University, Can-Ecosse Engineering, and SWEP.
